Hello,
My signal analysis indicates plenty of channels in green, meaning set-top antenna should suffice, but I get almost no channels with rabbit ears. I recently purchased new ones, just to make sure it wasn't a broken antenna that was my issue, but I get the same result. The only half-way decent reception is the ABC channel 28.

There is nothing special about my building, normal single-family home with an attic. I'm guessing I need to install something in the attic or on the roof. There is a dual-coaxial outlet near my TV, one of which has our internet service routed through. The cable box is outside in the back of the house, and the wire seems to run through the attic.

Anyway, below is a link to my radar plot. Could anyone suggest a solution for me? thanks in advance

The Digital Broadcast Tv transmissions are strong at your location.

Do not use a amplified antenna , because the strong transmissions will most likely overload the amplifier and be the cause of bad reception or no reception on some channels.

Even So , should get more then one channel.

Many houses have concrete walls in Florida , concrete does a real fine job of blocking and reflecting Tv reception.

Connect the rabbit ears type antenna to the Tv , not with the coax in the walls.

Put the rabbit ears type antenna at/in a east facing window.

Aim the rabbit ears type antenna at about 70 degree magnetic compass direction.

Radio Shack has Plain Jane Rabbit Ears , No buttons , No Knobs , No nothing , just 2 antenna rods and loop. Walmart has Plain Jane Rabbit Ears type antenna.

Can also use a TREK HDTVi antenna , not the HDTVa antenna.

Here is how to aim indoor and outdoor type antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Some Tv's have a coax input for , Antenna Channels.

And a Separate input for Cable tv channels.

The Tv , Must Channel Scan for the Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv setup menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

Also recommend do a Double Rescan of , Digital Broadcast Tv Channels.
http://www.dtv.gov/rescan.html

The Tv/s must have the Digital Broadcast Tv tuner , also named the , ATSC Broadcast Tv tuner.

If not then a Digital to Analog converter box must be used for older Analog Tv's.

For a above the roof type antenna , install a ANT751 antenna above the roof in such a manner that the roof and and house is not blocking reception of all directions.

Aim the ANT751 antenna at about 70 degree magnetic compass direction , here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

No preamplifier is required.

For 1 Tv connected use no splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a common simple 2 way splitter.

For 3 Tv's connected use a common simple 3 way splitter.

Do not connect the antenna to the internet service or cable tv service coaxes.

Yes you can use the coaxes that are in or on your home for the antenna system.

However the , internet/cable service and the antenna system coax must be separate.
