An RCA ANT-751 mounted high enough to 'see' over the roof line should be able to receive the signals NE & SW of your location.

If you have several TVs to connect it appears you would still have enough signal power to use just a passive splitter.

Thanks!

I am on a hill with nothing much to the north of me; a few oak trees and a golf course, do you think an attic mount will work? (standard asphalt roofing). If not what directions/instructions do you recommend for roof mounting?

The following is a Teleview recommendation fo broadcast Tv reception.

Install a ANT751 antenna above the roof.

Aim a ANT751 antenna at about 222 degree magnetic compass direction.

The ANT751 receives good at the , front - front angles and back - back angles ->This is the same directions that are required to receive at your location.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

http://www.solidsignal.com , has a ANT751 with a J type antenna mount , low dollars.

For 1 Tv connection use no splitter , no amplifier.

For 2 Tv's connected use a common simple 2 way splitter , no amplifier.

For 3 Tv's connected use a common simple 3 way splitter , no amplifier.

For 4 Tv's connected use a common simple 4 way splitter , no amplifier.

________________

As always trees and tree leaves do a real fine job of reducing or blocking Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your house.

It is best to install the ANT751 at a location that has little to no obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of , north / north east , west / south west.

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv setup menu because the Tv transmissons travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.
