Hi All,

I'm starting from scratch here. Looking to ditch cable TV and want to know if I can get reasonable reception in my area for CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, and PBS. Here is my signal report (http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29&q=id%3dda3239b271069c):

I admit I don't know much about this but the report certainly looks like I may have some challenges (distance & mostly VHF except Fox which is UHF).

Right now, I have no antenna equipment at all. So any advice on what to purchase would be appreciated. I have 2 HDTVs with ATSC tuners. I could mount an antenna in the attic (hipped roof, approx 25' high, asphalt shingles) or, possibly, outside on the roof.

Great site! Thanks in advance.

There are multiple options, each with a trade-off.

For the local stations only a huge all channel (HD8200U or CM 3671B) aimed at 74° plus a UHF only aimed at 213° coupled with a channel 23 Jointenna and an AP8700 or 7777 preamp.

Adding a rotator to the all channel antenna could pick up some of the Portland stations. The FOX antenna can be below the rotor.

You could also have a separate antenna for Portland.
