why does one station come in from a certain spot and other stations from almost exactly the same location don't?
what causes this and can it be fixed with a better booster
or raising the antenna?
or are there other options-
i am talking in the 60-mile range between me and the Pittsburgh Pa stations

410 bando road is down in a valley the surrounding mountains are blocking the tv transmissions. Go to the >>StartMaps<< part of tvfool and put in your address , select current plus pending stations , raise the antenna height to 500 feet and click on the white circles next to the stations call letters to get the area where you live to ' light up' with the colored signal strength. Now lower the antenna height and you will see what can be received at different lower antenna heights.

Also can put the antenna 15 feet and move the red balloon pointer (the antenna) to other locations to see what can be received at those locations

How many Tv's will be connected ? . Looks like the best you can do would be a Winegard HD7697P antenna and a preamplifier on a 100 foot tower with a Channel Master CM9521A rotator. This will get you Digital channels WPCW 27 CW , WWCP 8 FOX , WJAC 34 NBC , KDKA 40 CBS WNPB 33 PBS and Analog channel DW57BM looks like ION TV or ABC. Other then that , a simple indoor antenna will get you WWCP 8 FOX , WPCW 27 CW , WJAC 34 NBC and DW57BM. http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=233 . . Next read and understand this about Real and Virtual Tv channels. http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=695 . An indoor antenna should work well if the house is not wrapped with any type or kind of metal such as but not limited to metal siding or stucko with stucko Wire.

Also ROKU/NETFLIX http://www.roku.com it's a internet streaming device - I like the programing choices that Roku has. Or this streaming device http://wdc.com/WDTVLiveHub. Be aware that streaming devices are now being built in to tv's and dvd player recorders and video game consoles . And you can also do this http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=265
